The region of Markgräflerland
Situated between Freiburg and Basle amongst vineyards in a lovely picturesque landscape bordering on to France and Switzerland Müllheim is easily accessible by car, by rail or by air.
People in general exude kind sincerity induced by the particular way of life of a wine growing community.
Some of the sights in the immediate area are the baroque building of Schloß Bürgeln, Martinskirche, a gothic church in town, as well as the local museum exhibiting the art of wine growing.
... Arrival by car
Via the motorway from direction Basle:
- Exit the motorway at junction Müllheim/Neuenburg, not “Autobahnkreuz Neuenburg, and drive in the direction of Müllheim.
- Shortly before reaching Müllheim turn off to the right (B3) in the direction of Lörrach.
- Drive on for approximately a 100m and then turn off into our car park.
... Arrival by rail
Both from Basle and Freiburg trains run on a regular basis, at least hourly.From the station to the hotel it takes about fifteen minutes to walk.
... Arrival by plane
The distance to the airport Basle/Muelhouse is 30km.
A Swiss taxi will charge approx. SFR 190,00,
A taxi from Müllheim approx. EUR 75,00.
