Recognised as Germany's first eco-hotel in 1991, we at the Alte Post in Müllheim pay attention to environmentally friendly materials and close cooperation with local craftsmen and manufacturers. Much of our furniture is handmade and unique, often from local woods. We also support social projects, such as workshops for people with disabilities, as part of our sustainable hotel concept.
Sustainable and future-orientated
- Hot water through heat recovery (combined heat and power plant)
- 100% electricity from natural energy, without nuclear power or coal
- Electric charging station right outside the door with two petrol pumps
- Photovoltaic system covers 70% of our own energy requirements
- CO2-neutral cooling ceilings in our conference rooms

In five years' time, we want to become even more environmentally sustainable and CO2-neutral through targeted measures. That is our goal, and we have already taken concrete steps in the right direction.
Our vision for the future is clear: with a passion for the environment and responsibility for the future, we are working towards making our business even more sustainable. This includes a wood chip system for the façade and roof insulation, CO2-neutral air conditioning in the rooms and conference rooms, a large natural garden, paperless hotel operations and the conversion of our vehicle fleet to electric vehicles.
